Questions to ask your Insurance Provider:

Will my insurance cover Speech Generating Devices (Codes E2510, E2508 and E2506), Accessories (Code E2599) and mounting equipment (Code E2512) as covered benefits under my plan?  If yes, what percentage do they cover?

Is there a Durable Medical Equipment cap to my coverage?  What is the amount? What amount has already been used?

How much is my deductible?  What portion has already been met?

Do you cover iPads (most insurance companies do not)?

Do you cover iPad apps and how are they reimbursed?

Does my insurance cover Speech Generating Device evaluations (CPT codes 92607, 92608, 92609)?  Do they require pre-authorization?

When you speak to your insurance provider be sure to ask for the representatives name, how to contact them directly in the future and if there is a documentation number.  Very important!
